You might consider the type-face often encountered in print e.g. newspapers, books, magazines, and perhaps a little bigger font, and maybe in red? <br /><br />I wrote a few stories for my firstborn 30 years ago hand-lettered on posterboard. Contact paper covering might have made it more kid-proof, but there was no need for earlier exposure to the written language before the interest was there!
